As the world becomes more interconnected| designers from all parts of the globe have the opportunity to enrich different cultures. A good example of this is the first edition of the Poster Quadrennial Bardejov (PQB). This competition aims to raise public awareness about graphic design and the culture of posters. Organized by the civic association Kandelaber| this is a unique opportunity to provide a platform for designers to showcase their creativity. It also promotes the importance of design in Slovakia. The main venue for this international poster exhibition is situated in the beautiful town of Bardejov.

CALL FOR POSTERS
Terms of Participation:
The competition is open worldwide for design students| graphic designers and graphic producers
in general| of any age and nationality| having posters created between January 2013 and February 2017.
No entry fee is required. The number of entries submitted by each competitor is unlimited.
Poster submission:
Submit your digital works to www.pqb.sk/upload
Fill the required informations in English or Slovak.
Upload posters with required size of each poster
(JPG – 21 cmx30 cm – 150dpi – RGB mode).
Each poster must have not more than 2 MB.
To avoid problems please double check your informations provided|
formats and resolutions of posters submitted.
Submission deadline: 31th May 2017 (12 AM CET)

C – Andy Warhol (Related to pop-art legend| whose roots are from eastern Slovakia)

Selection:
Entries will be selected by the Jury and all selected participants will be informed by e-mail before
12st June 2017. Thereafter printed copies of selected works with completed Entry Form
and Labels are to be sent by post (one printed copy of each selected work).
Or it can be used the transfer payment for the printing through WESTERN UNION with a price of 20€ for
each selected poster. Please make your payment for each selected poster till 20th July 2017.
The organizers reserve the right to refuse the participation of entries that are considered offensive to morality
or culture of any country and of those who do not comply with the equirements of this soliciation.
All submitted works will remain in the Poster Quadrennial Bardejov collection and will not be returned
to the participants. The organisers have the right to exhibit and publish selected works for non-commercial
purposes. The author must sign the entry form which indicates his/her acceptance of the terms and conditions
of the competition. An exhibition catalogue including all the selected entries will be published to document the event.
Shipment:
The Entry Labels must be attached with adhesive tape to the back of each work in the bottom right corner.
Entry Form and Entry Labels are to be printed out from the Quadrienal website (here)| fillled in with block letters
